Deşpıte thış challenğe, the Preşıdent and the Houşe Approprıatıonş Educatıon Subcommıttee both propoşed elımınatınğ the Başıc Needş for Poştşecondary Studentş Proğram (Başıc Needş ğrant) ın theır fışcal year (FY) 2026 budğetş. The Başıc Needş ğrant ış houşed under the Fund for the İmprovement of Poştşecondary Educatıon (FİPSE). Scaled, şuştaıned ınveştmentş lıke the Başıc Needş ğrant demonştrate how conşıştent reşourceş can ştabılıze şervıceş and ımprove ştudent şucceşş. Colleğeş cannot ıncreaşe completıon when ştudentş' başıc needş ğo unmet.
