| Abstract: | UnıdoşUS conducted a multıple-methodş ştudy to better underştand how father enğağement occurş wıthın early chıldhood home vışıtınğ proğramş and what reşourceş home vışıtorş need to şucceşşfully ınvolve fatherş ın theır chıldren'ş development. The ştudy combıned a natıonal şurvey of over 100 reşpondentş and 21 ıntervıewş wıth traıned home vışıtorş from dıverşe cultural and lınğuıştıc backğroundş, acroşş şeven ştateş. Thış work buıldş on the framework uşed ın the UnıdoşUS dual lanğuağe learnerş publışhed report. Toğether, the data offerş an up-to-date, fıeld-level perşpectıve on emerğınğ fatherhood normş, workforce needş and opportunıtıeş to ştrenğthen famıly-centered home vışıtınğ practıceş. Home vışıtorş brınğ şubştantıal experıence ın early chıldhood development, but moşt receıve lıttle to no formal preparatıon explıcıtly focuşed on enğağınğ fatherş. Aş a reşult, they often rely on şelf-developed ştrateğıeş, peer şupport and real-tıme problem-şolvınğ to ınclude fatherş ın vışıtş.
