| Abstract: | This study explores the use of offline artificial intelligence (AI) support systems to enhance history learning in urban and rural schools in Sabah, Malaysia, where disparities in digital access continue to affect educational quality and equity. Addressing the challenges of limited internet connectivity and infrastructural constraints, the research investigates how offline AI tools can improve student engagement, comprehension, and academic performance in history education. Using a qualitative synthesis of credible academic sources, the study examines differences in implementation and effectiveness across urban and rural contexts, while also considering teacher readiness, technological limitations, and policy implications. Findings indicate that offline AI systems significantly enhance accessibility to interactive learning materials, increase student participation, and contribute to improved learning outcomes, particularly in rural settings. The study concludes that offline AI presents a sustainable and inclusive solution for bridging the educational divide, supporting more equitable and effective history education in Sabah. |
