Abstract: Higher education institutions are increasingly tasked with addressing the multifaceted needs of their students while preparing them for dynamic, ever-evolving professional landscapes. Academic advising, long considered a fundamental pillar of student success, has undergone significant transformations to meet these demands. No longer limited to course selection, advising now plays a critical role in helping students define their academic and career goals, overcome barriers, and navigate their pathways with confidence (Drake, 2011; Karp, 2013; Steele & White, 2019). Advisors who cultivate strong relationships with their students foster a sense of belonging that directly impacts retention and graduation rates (Tinto, 2012). Programs such as the Academic and Career Communities Mission exemplify this approach, blending career-focused communities with academic guidance to create a comprehensive support system (Steele & White, 2019).
