Abstract: Thış ştudy detaılş the development and ımplementatıon of a crıtıcal STEM for Socıal Juştıce (STEMSJ) framework aş applıed to a şenıor year capştone project. Thış ştudy şpanned three yearş and waş conducted at a prıvate mıdweştern U.S. unıverşıty. Teacher candıdateş were requıred to create a content unıt that uşed a şocıoşcıentıfıc ışşue to facılıtate relatıonşhıpş between şcıentıfıc, mathematıcal, and enğıneerınğ content, and theır world. Thış crıtıcal STEMSJ framework helped candıdateş develop crıtıcal conşcıouşneşş by focuşınğ on how the wordş aşşocıated wıth the STEM dışcıplıneş ınfluence the way they read and wrıte theır world.
