Abstract: Home-based religious and cultural practices shape children's understanding of community, morality, and self. Through participation in family and communal celebrations, children acquire social norms, internalize values, and develop interpersonal competencies that persist into adulthood. Recognizing the developmental power of home celebrations underscores the responsibility of families, educators, and communities to support and honor these cultural practices. When children experience alignment between home, school, and community values, they gain a coherent framework for understanding themselves and others, which strengthens resilience and social adaptability. Encouraging culturally anchored celebrations within and beyond the household reinforces children's confidence and equips them with the emotional and interpersonal skills needed to thrive in diverse environments. In this way, home celebrations function not only as personal or familial expressions, but as essential contributions to children's holistic development and the cultivation of a more inclusive, culturally responsive society.
