Abstract: The idea of the "future" in education and the philosophy of education today is thought-provoking, as it attempts to envision a new social contract to address future intergenerational issues. However, in the case of the Indonesian educational model, there is limited discussion concerning futuristic ideas. Therefore, this article provides a philosophical approach to understand how education can bridge many transdisciplinary findings to enable a critical approach to future uncertainties, such as disruptions caused by artificial intelligence, climate change, social and political polarization, global economics, and mental health issues. Furthermore, this article aims to build a new concept of education for the future and/or the future of education in order to reconstruct the spirit of inclusive pedagogy and create new educational models that foster a peaceful, just, sustainable, and equitable future.
