| Abstract (English): | While emotional contagion is known since the late nineteenth century, is not well systematized. There is few literature that discuss or problematice its implications, in spanish is less. The objective of this paper is contribute to the discussion on this process, emphasizing in adaptive value and its implications for social cognition and psychotherapy. We will begin reviewing the definition of emotional contagion and then the neurobiological and social bases, emphasizing the evolutionary and adaptive role along phylogeny and ontogeny. | Abstract (Spanish): | Si bien existen citas que hablan del contagio emocional desde fines del siglo XIX es un proceso poco conocido y sistematizado, existiendo escasa bibliografía que discuta o problematice sus implicancias, y menos aún en castellano. El objetivo de este trabajo es aportar a la discusión sobre este proceso, haciendo énfasis en el valor adaptativo y sus implicancias para la cognición social y la psicoterapia. Iniciaremos el trabajo repasando la definición del contagio emocional para posteriormente meternos con las bases neurobiológicas y sociales, priorizando el rol evolutivo y adaptativo del mismo dado que esta reacción se encuentra a lo largo de la filogenia y ontogenia. Culminaremos discutiendo sobre su utilidad como herramienta modificadora de conducta. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Portuguese): | Se bem existem citações que falem do contágio emocional desde o final do século XIX, é um processo pouco conhecido e sistematizado, existindo escassa bibliografia que discuta ou problematize suas implicações, e menos ainda no castelhano. O objetivo deste trabalho é trazer a discussão sobre este processo, dando ênfase no valor adaptativo e suas implicações para a cognição social e a psicoterapia. Iniciaremos o trabalho repassando a definição do contágio emocional para posteriormente tratar das bases neurobiológicas e sociais, priorizando o rol evolutivo e adaptativo do mesmo, dado que esta reação se encontra ao longo da filogenia e ontogenia.
