| Abstract (English): | According to the World Health Organization, adolescence is the period of human life ranging from 10 to 19 years of age. In this phase, adolescents go through several changes and, in most cases, they begin their sexual life during this period and may assume some risky sexual behaviors, such as inconsistent condom use and early sexual initiation. The objective of this work is to investigate the sexual behaviors related to the sexual initiation of adolescent students, enrolled in the high school of the state public network of the Municipality of Redenção, State of Pará, in the year 2022, considering factors such as, age of the first relationship, income, family cycle, gender. For data collection, a questionnaire was used, consisting of objective questions about behavior and completely anonymous. For the statistical tests, the software STATISTICA v.6.0 and BioEstat 5.0 were used. A total of 171 adolescents were interviewed, 67 males (39.2%) and 104 females (60.8%), with a mean age of 16.12 years, with no significant difference between men and women. Of the 171 adolescents interviewed, 149 (87.1%) reported having already started sexually. Among these, 59 (39.6%) were male and 90 (60.4%) were female. The mean age of sexual initiation was 15.17 years, with 14.71 years among men and 15.47 years among women. In 50 adolescents (33.6%) an early sexual initiation was observed. Of the 149 adolescents who had already started sexually, 52 (34.9%) reported using it and 97 (65.1%) reported not using it or only using it occasionally. | Abstract (Portuguese): | Segundo a organização mundial de saúde a adolescência é o período da vida do ser humano que vai dos 10 até os 19 anos completos. Nessa fase, os adolescentes passam por diversas mudanças e na maioria dos casos iniciam sua vida sexual nesse período e podem assumir alguns comportamentos sexuais de risco, tais como, uso inconsistente de preservativo e início sexual precoce. O objetivo deste trabalho é investigar os comportamentos sexuais referente ao início sexual de adolescentes escolares, matriculados no ensino médio da rede pública estadual do Munícipio de Redenção, Estado do Pará, no ano de 2022, considerando fatores como, idade da primeira relação, renda, ciclo familiar, gênero. Para coleta de dados foi utilizado um questionário, composto por perguntas objetivas de comportamentos e totalmente anônimo. Para os testes estatísticos foram utilizados os Softwares STATISTICA v.6.0 e o BioEstat 5.0. Foram entrevistados 171 adolescentes, sendo 67 do sexo masculino (39,2%) e 104 do sexo feminino (60,8%), com média de idade de 16,12 anos não diferindo significativamente entre homens e mulheres. Dos 171 adolescentes entrevistados, 149 (87,1%) relataram já ter se iniciado sexualmente. Sendo que entre estes 59 (39,6%) eram do sexo masculino e 90 (60,4%) eram do sexo feminino. A média de idade do início sexual foi de 15,17 anos, sendo que entre os homens foi de 14,71 anos e entre as mulheres de 15,47 anos. Em 50 adolescentes (33,6%) foi observado um início sexual precoce. Dos 149 adolescentes que já tinham se iniciado sexualmente 52 (34,9%) relataram usar e 97 (65,1%) relataram não usar ou só usar as vezes.
