| Abstract (English): | This integrative literature review investigated the actions taken by nursing professionals in monitoring individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), aiming to broaden understanding of the disorder and evaluate the effectiveness of the care provided. Motivated by the scarcity of scientific studies on the subject, 13 articles published between 2020 and 2025, in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, were included. Results indicate the need for specific training, strengthened communication with families, and interdisciplinary work. Nursing plays a fundamental role in the care of individuals with ASD, and investment in continuing education and specific protocols is essential. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Portuguese): | Este estudo constitui uma revisão integrativa da literatura, com o objetivo de investigar as ações desenvolvidas pelos profissionais de Enfermagem no acompanhamento de pessoas com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA), buscando ampliar a compreensão sobre o transtorno e avaliar a eficácia dos cuidados prestados. A pesquisa foi motivada pela escassez de estudos científicos sobre o tema. Foram incluídos 13 artigos, publicados entre 2020 e 2025, nos idiomas português, espanhol e inglês. Os resultados evidenciam a necessidade de capacitação específica dos profissionais, o fortalecimento da comunicação com as famílias e a atuação interdisciplinar. Conclui-se que a enfermagem desempenha papel essencial no cuidado a pessoas com TEA, sendo indispensável o investimento em formação continuada e protocolos específicos para garantir a qualidade e a individualização do atendimento.
