Abstract (English): The purpose of this research was to examine the levels of anxiety sensitivity in a sample of 49 patients with psychosis; to compare the results with a non-clinical sample and to analyse the differences between patients with and without positive symptoms. The Spanish version of the ASI-3 scale was used (Anxiety Sensitivity Index--3; Sandín, Chorot, Valiente & Santed, 2007), as well as items one and three of the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS; Kay, Opler & Lindenmayer, 1998). The results show greater anxiety sensitivity in patients with psychosis compared to those without this diagnosis, as well as differences relating the presence of positive symptoms with greater levels of anxiety sensitivity.
