The book consists of sixteen chapters that will help to minimize the adverse effects of disasters on health care settings. This book therefore provides a detailed account of disaster alleviation, management policies and programmes, and makes us aware of the social responsibilities. The book is a pioneering work on environmental management for sustainable development. The text is suitable for professionals, students in the fields of healthcare, environmental science and management and will act as a useful research tool for its implications in impending research. This ground-breaking work is the first interdisciplinary collection of disaster research as this field will continue to grow in the future. |
