| Abstract: | The article focuses on the achievements of American Medical Writers Association (AMWA) in spreading education on osteoporosis. Its past president Dr Diana Galindo developed a user friendly web education tool in 2008. It signed the senate version of the medicare fracture prevention and osteoporosis testing act of 2007 that seeks to reverse the funding cuts for physician owned dual energy x-ray adsorptiometry. In 2004 it published an update on osteoporosis with support from an educational grant. |
