Abstract: The article discusses the role of curriculum order in medical students' ability to recognize haematopathological images. Particular focus is given to a study in which researchers attempted to determine whether teaching basic science concepts before teaching clinical vignettes would improve students' recognition of digital haematopathological images related to the identification of cells in peripheral blood smears. It is suggested that an additive curriculum may improve students' performance.
