Abstract: The article presents an interview with Edward Benyas, Professor of Oboe and Conducting at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Benyas says that most of the orchestral conductors are successful musicians on one instrument. According to him, the conductor should inspire his or her musicians. He says conductors should be kind.
