Abstract: The article contends that implicit bias reflects both personal and social components of a race or culture. The authors examine the relation between implicit bias and behavioral outcomes and proposes the integration of the Bias of Crowds (BoC) model with existing models of social relations. They discuss the influence of the initial formation of bias on individual and intergroup preferences, influence of situations on accessibility of different concepts, intergroup associations and implicit bias.
