| Abstract: |
The author comments on a study by Hiram et al that explored racial and ethnic differences in infant sleep practices that have implications for racial and ethnic disparities for sleep-related infant deaths. As in previous studies, Hiram's findings showed that mothers who received guidance from care providers are more likely to practice safe sleep for their infants. Furthermore, racial and ethnic health disparities cannot be separated from socioeconomic health disparities in infant mortality. |
