Abstract: The article provides information on a pilot programme developed to see whether students in their family medicine clerkship would benefit from patient interactions in virtual visits. Topics discussed include the forced cancellation of student clinical activities in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, response of student participants to the experience, and view of students and faculty on the programme.
