Abstract: The article offers an overview of a project led by the World Health Organization(WHO) which developed gold standard instruments to detect gaming and gambling disorders after their inclusion in the disorders due to addictive behaviours section of the eleventh revision of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11). Topics covered include the members of the project, and the significance of the implementation of the project in multiple countries/jurisdictions.
