Abstract: This content analysis provides an overview of mindfulness-based practices published in 24 counseling journals between 2000 and 2020. A total of 131 articles were published, representing 1.16% of the published literature within these journals. Counseling and Values and the Journal of Mental Health Counseling journals each published 18 articles, tying for the most. The analysis also includes: focus areas within mindfulness-based practices, type of article, and type of research. Results indicated that the highest focus areas were in the use or description of mindfulness and mindfulness-based practices as interventions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
