Abstract: Amantadine, a non-competitive anti-NMDA receptor antagonist and a pro-dopaminergic drug, has Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Medicine Agency (EMA) approval for the treatment of influenza virus and Parkinson disease. Amantadine-induced hypersexuality in a non-Parkinsonian patient with catatonia: a case report Hypersexual behaviors disappeared within 24 h, and the patient reported no recurrence of hypersexuality within the 4 weeks following amantadine discontinuation.
