Abstract: The article focuses on cardiologist Pim van Lommel's exploration of Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) and their implications for understanding consciousness. Initially skeptical about consciousness existing beyond death, van Lommel's perspective shifted after he encountered patients who reported vivid memories during cardiac arrest, despite the prevailing belief that consciousness ceases during such events.
