| Abstract: | In this article, the author presents a criticism of Robin Room's rebuttal of John Tierney's article regarding conflicts of interest on public policy for alcohol consumption. He cites a study from the European Comparative Alcohol Study (ECAS) which found less alcohol related health problems among Southern Europeans, than among Northern ones. Room's study among Scandinavian people is said to have found the reverse, and his rebuttal of Tierney's article, as well as the author's, is said to be both snobbery and hypocrisy on Room's part. |
