| Abstract: | The article offers the author's insights on the extension of services for people with developmental disabilities in New York State. The author asserts that adults with developmental disabilities were transferred from institutional care to the community. He notes that the Enhanced Supported Employment Program from New York State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (NYS OMRDD) gives chances for employment for people who are previously viewed as disabled. |
