| Abstract: | The article presents a study which examined the role of information about nicotine content in smokers' subjective response to nicotine and placebo inhalers. The results of the study showed reduced craving associated with intention to smoke when informed that the inhalers used contained nicotine as to using nicotine free, regardless of nicotine content. Findings suggest that psychological factors are also important in the subjective response of smokers. |
