Abstract: The article focuses on the issue of higher education in the U.S. under the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama. The author relates the issue to the speech of President Obama regarding economic restoration and promotion of competitive education for college students. She mentions the bill "American Recovery and Reinvested Act" enacted by the federal government to promote education investments. She examines the conditions of student learning in universities, the affordability of education, and the student's access to federal aids. Moreover, the author notes the importance of transparency, communication and technical assistance in higher education to achieve the desired economic goals for the state.
