| Abstract: | A literary criticism is presented of the book "Crónica de una muerte anunciada" ("Chronicle of a Death Foretold") by Colombian author Gabriel García Márquez. The article discusses the use of religious language and symbolism in the relationship between central characters Santiago Nasar and Cristóbal Bedoya, and the author asserts that the symbolism in the characters' names indicates a destiny assigned to them by their parents unknowingly, which sets the plot of the book in action. |
