experimental conditions for producing empathy and anxiety, and, therefore, for
producing helping behaviour. In conclusion an elargement of the Batson and Coke
model is proposed, given the weight that the variable �empathy trait� has had in
explaining helping behaviour. With respect to the motives that produced helping
behaviour, it is pointed out that in both models this behaviour was explained by
empathy (trait and situational), as a result of which we can deduce that the motives were
altruistic. |
