| Summary: | Olegario Fernández-Baños introduced mathematical economy in Spain. The author fixed three periods in the evolution of economy studies. In the first one economic phenomena were studied as independent from each other and it was intended to seek a cause for each one, in the second they were related in static equilibrium, and in the last one facts were linked in dynamical equilibrium.
In 1928 Fernández-Baños examined closely the economic models from A.A.Walras (1801-1866) to I. Fisher (1867-1947) and emphasized the importance of statistics in order to check the theoretical results of economic models. |
