| Summary: | At the end of the forties in the 20th century, the Cuban physicists and mathematicians lack of a favorable space to divulgate their scientific and educational work. The Revista de la Sociedad Cubana de Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas arose in the year 1942 in response to this necessity.
In this paper we study the main characteristics and the journal evolution over the 18 years of its life. Moreover, we describe the content of the sections which make up the publication: Articles, Notes, Book¹s reviews, Posing and solving problems and Society news or chronicle.
We do this through the analysis of the more meaningful contributions. This analysis allows us to estimate the influence that exerts the Society and the journal on the rise of the physical and mathematical level in the country. |
