| Summary: | In this paper the authors present a first Spanish adaptation of the quick neurological
discrimination test (QNST) of Mutti, Sterling and Spalding (1974-1978). With this purpose they start
by describing the 14 subtests that make up the test, how it gets corrected, and the validity and
reliability studies that have been performed. Then they show their own test revision, taking into
account variables such as age, gender, social status and rural or urban origin (this one just in order to
select the sample), and make some tables related to the Spanish population sample. The authors will
find that at seven and eight years of age meaningful changes occur in the QNSTs performance, that
gender related differences are minimal and that cultural level influences some of the tasks
performance. |
