The final sample of 265 drugstores was calculated with a reliability factor of 95%.Results. It was found that 88% of drugstores dispensed Cyclofem without requiring a medical prescription and only one (1) demanded that prescription for dispensing the medicament.                           Conclusions. The Colombian legislation requires that the staff in charge of pharmaceutical services, dispenses and applies injectable contraceptives only with a medical prescription, but according to the results of the study such requirement is not complied in the drugstores in Bogota D.C.
