| Summary: | Abstract: The Agro-industrial Training Centre “La Angostura” has thirty-two productive units (UP) where several tasks are carried out that belong to activities outlined in the formative projects of the certified professional training programs. These activities led to the first initial environmental review (IER); this review seeks to identify environmental aspects and impacts generated by the production processes of the Agro-industrial Training Centre La Angostura. The initial environmental review was applied to twelve productive units in order to provide a diagnosis of their current situation, aimed at promoting a continuous improvement . The initial environmental review adopted the Guía Técnica Colombiana (GTC-93) as the working method, thus review visits were conducted to identify and verify the work undertaken by each productive unit. To conduct the environmental assessment the matrix of Connesa Fernandez was used, this matrix generated the assessment of environmental impacts in the UP. This diagnosis represented an opportunity to develop strategies for mitigating impacts and therefore work towards continuous improvements in order to reinforce the productive units in accordance with the implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and the Integrated Management System (IMS) of the Agro-industrial Training Centre, these systems aim at environmental sustainability and strengthening. |
