Summary:In the teaching-learning process carried out by teachers and students, the content of a subject allows the student to acquire knowledge and skills taught by the teacher, which leads to the generation of skills in their professional training. Due to the above, it is important to review the content of a subject with the opinion of experts in the area, taking into account the application of Role Play as a basis to obtain points of view and consolidate an adequate judgment to diagnose a microcurriculum. The objective of this research was to review the content of a subject through role play to diagnose it. This research was defined as qualitative because experiences that different people have with respect to a particular situation were disclosed. The role play technique was used as a basis to propose a model through which the content of a subject is reviewed to make diagnoses. As a result, the microcurriculum of the Software Engineering course was obtained; fundamental aspects when reviewing the microcurriculum, such as development methodologies, UML, design patterns, among others; Finally, diagnoses were issued by the actors where the majority agreed with the microcurriculum.
