The article was based on authors such as: Aguilera y Puerto (2012), Correa y Amit (2004), Guédez (2014), Global Reporting Initiative (2011), among others. Methodologically, the research was typified as descriptive, with a field design, not experimental, transversal. A population of 40 subjects of the Santa Marta hotel companies was identified. We worked with the census technique. As a data collection technique, we used an instrument, scale type with 16 items, with five (5) response alternatives. The expert judgment technique was used to evaluate the instrument. Reliability under the Cronbach’s Alpha criterion was high of 0.858. The results indicate that under the study conditions, the hotel companies of the city of Santa Marta develop environmental management processes, based on their commitment to improving the environmental quality and managing the impacts on the environment and the cycle of life of products and services characterizing the dimension as average (2.55) implies therefore that the hotel sector in Santa Marta presents a regular behavior that translates into environmental debts under the terms of corporate social responsibility.
