| Summary: | The need to find alternative markets such as green markets in Huila will help foster competitiveness, especially for the wide variety of industries in the department. The Agroindustrial Training Center La Angostura (CEFA) is characterized as having several productive units; this makes it a model for implementing green markets, which is why it is intended to identify green markets as a productive alternative. A descriptive diagnosis of knowledge in green markets was carried out with instructors and administrative staff of CEFA; the information was analyzed to distinguish groupings of knowledge. Then green products or services were identified as short-term (<6 months), medium term (6-36 months) and long-term (> 36 months). It was determined that the administrative staff registered a low assertiveness ratio compared to instructors (t-student, p:0.019). The main green market identified by the interviewees is Sustainable use and development of Natural Resources and Biodiversity, however the product Biotechnology was not identified or recommended; in both cases Organic Farming was considered as an actual, theoretical and potential product while Environmental Education was not a clear choice as a green product for any of the two study groups. Regarding goods or services, compost was identified as the main option for a potential green market in the short-term; ecotourism service is representative in the medium term, and finally timber trees in the long-term. This study established how adequate guidance for information, implementation and commitment should be delivered in relation to green markets; furthermore, seven markets were identified for possible implementation. |
