Summary:The availability of commercial virtual reality devices represents an opportunity for education in Colombia, which should accelerate the inclusion of new technologies for the development of teaching materials. In this work, a virtual reality product was developed, adapting traditional learning material to game mechanics, a concept known as gamification. The tool was used with a group of high school students from an educational institution, evaluating the effectiveness of this strategy to leverage meaningful learning, finding very promising results to improve training processes.
