| Summary: | Technical or intelligent textiles are materials or products manufactured to meet technical and functional requirements, more than aesthetic or decorative features. In this way, textiles have antibacterial properties, water and fire resistance, ballistic protection, among others. These functionalized materials can be used in different productive sectors, such as: agricultural, medical, military, sports and transportation. With the aim of proposing new perspectives for the textile industry, the document presents an exercise in technological surveillance on the main scientific research worldwide. For this purpose, some surveillance foci are determined, and a search is carried out through specialized platforms.
