| description | An Internet of Things and Big Data-based QR (Quick Response Code) application model was carried out to connect the traceability activities of cocoa (Theobroma cacao L) in order to promote added value in marketing through the quick access of information on clones, hybrids and regional genetic material available in the cocoa germplasm bank. For the construction of a database, they took data from 69 cocoa trees, determining fermentation, physical, bromatological and sensory variables of the cocoa bean that were analyzed in the agroindustrial laboratory of the Agroindustrial Training Center. At the same time, the conditions were included edaphic and atmospheric and the production data of each tree. As a result, a database was generated on the web and the QR codes on the cocoa trees were customized, designing a protocol for reading and use. This model constitutes a benchmark for the management of cocoa crops in the region and guides cocoa producers in improving cocoa agroecological processes and agro-industrial processes with specialized genotypes in aroma and flavor. |
