description The main objective of this paper is to analyze the innovation capacity of a health promotion entity in the city of Valledupar, Colombia. The innovation capacity of a company relates to the ability to continually transform knowledge and ideas into new products, processes and systems for the benefit of the company and its stakeholders. This is a quantitative and descriptive study; since in this class of studies a set of concepts or variables is selected and each one is measured independently of the others, in order precisely to describe them. The study has been proposed as a nonexperimental design, considering that the research is developed without deliberately manipulating variables. In order to achieve the research objective, a questionnaire consisting of 27 items was applied that evaluate three dimensions of innovation capacity: Organizational structure, human capital and collaborative networks. The results indicate that the company has a high level of development in all dimensions of innovation capacity analyzed.
