description The purpose of the study was to develop a descriptive analysis regarding Mental Health in higher education teachers, starting with a generalized review of the subject, continuing with its transformation both at the international and national levels, and then focusing on the context of higher education teachers. In this order of ideas, a documentary, descriptive and analytical study was carried out based on the "analytical fact sheet" tool, which favored the visualization of the documentation reviewed. Finally, it is important to highlight the impact of actions aimed at favoring mental health in the population under study, higher education teachers; these guidelines were associated with interventions at primary, secondary and tertiary levels, with an emphasis on the design of programs involving personality characteristics, attitudes of the environment and environmental conditions. Then, different topics were described to guide future research studies and association in other variables of analysis.
