Description
Summary:The need to decrease response times of deliveries to sale points and to evacuate the agglomerated finished product in the temporary storage area, are the reasons for creating a formal structure of a dispatch guide. The objective of the present study was to develop a distribution system of garment, which automatically designates the quantity of clothing to be sent to each warehouse by simply typing the batch of a certain size and immediately prepares the guide, an indispensable resource for carrying out the dispatch procedure. For the systematization to reach the desired objective, the percentages of receipts per day from the stores were used and they were grouped into 4 categories: large, medium, shopping centers, and small; using Microsoft Excel as a tool, which allows sequential iterations to be carried out. Once the information was validated, this tool was applied in addition to the Cross Docking methodology, which consists of reducing the operating time and temporary storage to achieve improvements in the process, generating greater flow, distributions in accordance with the orders, tendency to zero in temporary storage, on-time deliveries, reliable information bases, greater display, and increased sales.
