Despite the importance of innovation, many still associate the term with concepts such as creativity, digital technology, chance or the inspiration of a moment, when in reality, these elements, which may be important for the process to take place. of innovation; these are just some of the components involved in it. Therefore, the intentional teaching of innovation and how to develop it through the different existing methodologies and models, are essential not only in higher education institutions, but also in elementary, middle secondary, high school and formal training centers. and informal. This article was born by recognizing this need, doing a case study that analyzes the innovation profile of SENA apprentices in San Andrés island, and a preliminary review of previous knowledge and existing literature about the teaching of innovation in the field regional, national and international.
