| description | Objective: to determine health indices, level of physical activity and self-perception of physical condition in administrative career women at a public university during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methodology: 59 volunteers participated, the women were divided into three age ranges (18-26, 27-59 and ≥60 years), the muscle mass index, the waist-hip ratio and the waist-height ratio were estimated, it was applied the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire and the questionnaire International Fitness Scale. Results: women aged 27-59 years presented the lowest cardiovascular risk with respect to the other groups, most of the women are in a moderate or high level of physical activity, and they self-perceive with acceptable, good, and very good physical condition. Conclusion: women, despite their daily work dynamics, perform some type of physical activity regardless of age, having as a positive consequence low risk (except for women aged 18-26 with respect to the WHR) of suffering from chronic non-communicable diseases. However, administrative women spend up to 8 hours sitting during their working hours, which can also lead to not only cardiovascular risks but also ergonomic. |
