description Solid waste is a worldwide concern, inevitably generated by the activities of humans andanimals; Being a problem related to the final disposal of waste, it is the fact that the same, when discarded incorrectly, generate negative impacts on the environment that affecthuman health and in the case of animal waste, they require human actions to its correct finaldisposition. Considering that the Gaira Aquaculture and Agroindustrial Center has differentproduction units of larger and smaller species that constantly generate organic waste inthe paddocks and it is unknown if any treatment is carried out or what its final disposal is,it is intended to reach the units and know the generation of waste and the possible usesthat are given to it. For this, observation tours were carried out, interviews with those incharge, entrances and exits in the different units were outlined. From what was found, thereis a greater impact on livestock units, sheep - goats, pigs and oxidation ponds, because theanimals excrete daily and despite the efforts for collection and treatment there is a wastedpercentage. Initially, a bibliographic search was carried out to serve as support to identify whattype of provision should be given, as well as the characteristics that they possess, additionaltours were carried out reviewing the traceability of each of the farmyard animals to determinethe adequate control that it would be giving to the excreta, seeking in this way to complementthe management of organic waste for its use and potentiate the value chain, since it was foundthat only 50% of these are used for the management of other units such as composting. andthe other 50% goes to areas of the cupcake where they are given a respective management, concluding that within the activities carried out it is quite favorable thanks to the fact that themanagement and characteristics are favorable for the implementation of other projects carriedout in the area.
