| Summary: | Filamentous fungi are the main exogenous biological agents that influence the deteriorationof historical archives in any institution. These organisms need a source of carbon, humidity, and adequate temperature, so that their spores hatch, forming colonies in any substrate fortheir growth. With the present investigation, this biological group present in documents offour archives of municipal mayors of the department of Huila was studied. In the laboratory, culture media were prepared based on potato destroxa agar (PDA), with 0.5% streptomycinsolution, for subsequent seeding of biological samples and incubation at room temperaturefor five days; In the field, temperature and relative humidity were recorded as environmentalvariables. Fifteen different genera of filamentous fungi were identified, with the Aspergiullusspp. in terms of presence and abundance. The municipalities of Villavieja and Aipe presentedthe highest richness of filamentous fungi, in addition to the highest values of relative humidity, with moderate temperature |
