Methodology: Descriptiveobservational study of the current state of pharmaceutical establishments in three sectorsof Medellin, Bello and Copacabana, collecting information directly in the establishmentswith the help of a survey in a Google form. Results: 28 pharmaceutical establishments fromthree sectors of northern Medellin, Bello and Copacabana were characterized. 64.4% ofpharmaceutical personnel have been practicing their profession for more than 4 years. Thedrugstore vendor is the most predominant profile as technical director with 57.1%. 82.1% ofpharmacies and drugstores were conditioned by the regulatory entity. Unqualified personneldue to lack of specific training negatively affects the appropriate provision of pharmaceuticalcare services. Conclusion: It was possible to characterize the population of personnel thatworks in the pharmaceutical establishments of three sectors of the north of Medellín, Belloand Copacabana, with which it was identified that the empirical personnel in charge ofdrugstores and pharmacies continue to prevail, and in a proportion high do not meet regulatoryrequirements |
