| description | The purpose of this article was to characterize the factors that influence the report of vocal symptoms in a group of instructors of the Industrial and Aviation Center of SENA, having as inputs the data obtained through the application of a survey-type instrument to 86 instructors in the areas of graphic arts, aviation, construction, sports training, management, and systems. From the analysis of the information, it was possible to establish that the strongest relationships were between sore throat and a history of allergy, drinking little water and being male. In addition, indirect relationships were identified between adequate acoustics and dry throat, teaching outdoors and neck tension, teaching outdoors and dry throat. Hence the importance of developing training actions in vocal health, evaluation, monitoring, and control of physical risk factors, all supported on the documentary basis presented by the subsystem of occupational safety and health management of the entity. |
