| Summary: | Depression, stress and anxiety are frequent mood disorders in all types of population. Care by mental health specialists in our environment is affected by: reduced number of professionals (psychologists, psychiatrists) to care for the large number of people affected, greater concentration of mental health aid in large urban centers, and deficiencies in the health insurance coverage, among others. This paper describes the experience of formulating and early implementation of a mental health program, aimed at the detection, care, follow-up and education of apprentices of SENA of the Health Service Center, through telehealth (telemedicine and tele-education). The learning and experiences identified were grouped into 3 domains: team members (people), information systems (technology), and care processes. The importance of clinical informatics as the articulating axis of clinical and technological knowledge is highlighted; integrated work with health providers on mental health issues; and adaptation of information systems to the use of scales and data management in patient follow-up schemes.
The formulation and implementation of mental health care programs integrating technologies seeks to strengthen health care networks and can improve the opportunity for care. |
