In order to evaluate the contribution to self-prescription practices by retail pharmaceutical establishments (drugstores) in the town of Chapinero Bogotá D.C. Colombia during the year 2022, a descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out, through a purchase simulation carried out through a face-to-face interview in 65 selected drugstores, where 155 simulations were carried out with 11 different cases that include drugs such as azithromycin, metoclopramide , oral contraceptives, b complex and injectable diclofenac, bisacodyl, sildenafil, misoprostol, amitriptyline, dihydrocodeine, tramadol, diphenoxylate and atropine. It is found that in 81.9% of the simulations the sale of the drug was agreed without the presentation of the medical formula and in 22% of the cases it was recommended to use a different drug to replace or complement the requested drug. In the drugstores in the town of Chapinero studied, the sale of medicines was restricted to the presentation of the medical formula in 18.1% of the simulations carried out. The drugs in which more restrictions were found for their sale were misoprostol, azithromycin and tramadol. |
